[edit] Around the Horn

Yeah, but then again, only one person wins. Therefore, the other three cities that didn't win already have their % adjusted, reducing the need to do that after the show. Soxrock 22:46, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Fine, the number of edits will be identical, but I'll only change the % after a player is eliminated. Good enough? Soxrock 23:15, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Uh, no. I mean, when the show starts, I'll do the appearances for the appearences, peron, and cities column. When player and city X gets eliminated, then I'll reduce the %. When player anc city Y win, I'll change the % to the most accurate. I'm not saying that I'll overrule, I'm just stating a good idea, at least in my mind. Soxrock 23:22, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Game logs

I update piece by piece because that is much less likely to cause edit conflicts. And I get into a lot of those. Soxrock 03:03, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Fine. I get into these habits, and they're hard to break out of. I'll try, but don't bank on me editing them all in one. I'm not one to do a single large edit but more like several small edits. Sorry :( Soxrock 00:41, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I'll try. Besides, right now I'm busy on the AFL pages, I'm not going to update a game log until the conclusions of the Toronto/Baltimore and Washington/Cincy games. Soxrock 00:58, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for Reverting Vandalism

Thanks for reverting vandalism User:MetsBot and User:^demonBot2 made. I'm going to give you a barnstar as soon as I have time. LADodgersAngelsfan 03:22, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry. I think there were some changes in the userboxes so they changed it. I thought they vandalized until I actually looked at the changes.—Preceding unsigned comment added by LADodgersAngelsfan (talkcontribs)

[edit] Redirecting my Userpage

Why was my userpage redirected to my talkpage? If i want to be able to redirect it in the case of a userpage, I will, but you should not. I think people are not having a hard time getting my userpage adn then clicking discussion between userpage and edit this page above. I'm just learning how to delete pages, hopefully I did it right. Hornberry 14:23, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 2007 Los Angeles Dodgers season

Regarding this edit, it has to do with this edit. Hornberry 21:02, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

I have no idea and I know it doesn't help. I think it's better off how it is now, I mean, it's still in surname order. It's harder for me to update the stats with all that stuff. Ask Aviper2k7 if you want. Hornberry 21:39, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Arguing with Hornberry/Pokemon Crater

Can you stop arguing with Hornberry? You might probably get in trouble or get blocked which would cause a lot of problems on the baseball articles you are frequently editing. Hornberry wouldn't be able to edit the Dodgers article. I don't have a lot of time now so I can do all of this only for you too. Can you stop arguing, please? If you're lucky the administrators or recent changes patrollers would give you a warning.

I also want to know how you are doing in Pokemon Crater. How many points do you have? Just to tell you I share a username with my brother called master of raccoons and we are doing fine. We have over 300 points in less than a month. It is considered a lot, but if you compare it to the #1 trainer called Mr. Hobo, I am considered very bad.

Like I told you before, I don't have a lot of time editing Wikipedia. I will probably get a lot of work done on the week of June 11 to June 15. After that I would have a lot of work in an Earth Science class, but it only lasts till July 20th or July 27th. After that I'm not sure if I'm going to take an Algebra II class. If I don't have to take it I would probably be free to edit Wikipedia as much as I want, but after about a month the nighmare of homework will start again.

And if you are going to a summer vacation, just notify me and I would try to get as much work done on the pages you ask me to edit. 24.205.181.12 06:10, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry that I forgot to login. All the text in that section was edited by me. LADodgersAngelsfan 06:12, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Above I said recent changes patrollers might give you warnings. I am an recent changes patroller as well an user in Wikiproject:Baseball. LADodgersAngelsfan 06:16, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I'm making a lot of mistakes

First of all I made a lot of mistakes by not reading any of the recent edits. After I found out that someone else edited my page I thought they vandalized it, but when I read the recent edits they were trying to help me revise the editing userboxes.

Second, it looked like a big argument because when I read it it sounded like you're yelling at Hornberry, but when I read it carefully, you were just trying to correct Hornberry. Sometimes that happens when I don't read carefully. Please forgive me.

Just to tell you I'm sometimes careless at reading and sometimes like in the first mistake I assumed they vandalized my page when I saw another username in the history of my userpage. LADodgersAngelsfan 08:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

On my talk page, you said I wasted a lot of time typing up all that stuff. Actually it doesn't take that much time. Like all the text I typed above, it only took me about ten to fifteen minutes to type up. I type at a normal speed of about 60 (70 sometimes). When I think and type I type about 10 words per minute, in Wikipedia I can type 40 to 60 words per minute when I type, so it doesn't wastes me that much time. I just like to type up everything I want to say to you instead of seperating it to many edits.

To find out the amount of points you have in Pokemon Crater you should click on your username which should be at the top left corner of the webpage. It is write beside the logout button. Just click on it and it would show you a lot of statistics including wins and losses.

I'm so far 300-0 which is 24 wins away from winning all games in two seasons when it comes to basball —Preceding unsigned comment added by LADodgersAngelsfan (talkcontribs)

[edit] Indy 500

That's basketball, and I'm only doing it at times I'm allowed. But come on, you know how to get up-to-date results immediately after the race? Not immediately. This is the best chance to keep it updated. Besides, other people would just steal the job I'm doing. Besides, I do a lot of other articles. I'll just do those until the end of the race. Bye Soxrock 18:18, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

It think it would be best if you read this: WP:DICK--William Henry Harrison 19:01, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sticking with anybody except the wikipedia community. I'm just telling you that you have some real civility issues that you seriously need to work on. Especially when you SHOUT.--William Henry Harrison 19:21, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

I'M TELLING YOU. THIS RACE COULD BE OVER. IT IS IN A RAIN DELAY. IT COULD BE OVER IF IT LASTS ABOUT 2 OR MORE HOURS, THIS COULD BE OVER. SO I'M NOT VIOLATING SHIT. Soxrock 19:23, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Fine, whatever you say. I'm just taking it as a precaution. I honestly believe this could be over. So I honestly don't see the violation this time. Maybe I'm too eager to update it. But, I swear, this time I don't think I truly did anything wrong. Soxrock 19:27, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

You both need to talk to an adminstrator, sort your problems out and act with more civility.--William Henry Harrison 19:29, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
You have done it in an uncivil manner, don't bother me anymore, I've said all I'm going to say and now its up to you to be a better wikipedian--William Henry Harrison 19:33, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Just drop it and get some maturity, you can tell User:Soxrock that this goes for him as well.--William Henry Harrison 19:38, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
I am not yelling, THIS IS YELLING. You need to drop this, stop defending yourself to me, I don't really care. I just saw your incivility and I want to try and stop it. You seem to be doing an alright job on wikipedia just don't get involved in disputes. Don't get uncivil with me because I am trying to help you. Now you don't have to reply to this stop trying to defend yourself, case closed.--William Henry Harrison 19:53, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, as I am an American currently living in France, I was just reading the wikipedia page about the rain delayed Indy 500. I see that you told User:Soxrock not to update the page because of a rule about real-time updates. I normally work on pages in the psychology and neuroscience area (which update very slowly), and a few Nascar entries, so I don't normally come across this. What is this rule? You can just reply on my talk page. Thanks Edhubbard 20:26, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Question

How can I do what you suggested? I am not familiar with the procedures here (I am more involved in the Portuguese Wikipedia) Garavello 19:28, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User:Soxrock

Hi. I've removed your report on WP:AIV in respect of this user because you state that he has not vandalised. AIV is for blatant vandalism only, and it is not clear what exactly you think the problem with this user is. If you feel the situation needs admin intervention, please report it at WP:ANI. In doing so, you should clearly describe what the problem is and provide links to the articles and / or diffs to the edits that are the locus of the problem. You should then also notify Soxrock of your report. Thanks, Sandstein 20:02, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Addendum: If you disagree over the content of an article, admin intervention is usually not needed. In this case, see WP:DR for advice on how to proceed. Sandstein 20:04, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pokemon Crater/Wikipedia

You know the edit userboxes I have. I thought the other people were playing around with my editing userboxes, but I found out that they were trying to help me out. The thing I thought you were arguing about was about the mistakes Hornberry made. I can see all of your statistics on Pokemon on myself. If you want to see my statistics just try to figure out how to add my name on the friends list. Click on my username and you would be able to see all of my statistics. From now on we'll just send messages to each other in Pokemon Crater if it is about Pokemon Crater. I'm afraid I would get in trouble even if I'm a recent changes patroller. Just to tell you I left a message that I saw your message in Pokemon Crater. If you can't contact me in Wikipedia, try to see if I'm online. If I'm try to contact me on Pokemon Crater, but if it is my brother who is playing then you are kind of unlucky. There are some things I told you to do in Pokemon Crater, but I'm not sure if you know how. If you don't know how to do something just ask me and I would try to tell you as soon as I find out you sent a message to me. I currently have over 400 points (I had 300 points yesterday). At this rate, I would probably be in the top 100 trainers list after about a couple of months. I hope my little brother, who is in third grade, wouldn't have a lot of homework. I hope you would have a chance to be in the top trainers list. To be in the top trainers list you need like a minimum of 25,000 points. Since I told you a lot about Pokemon Crater, I think I should start a page on it soon. We shouldn't make it that long or else they would choose that page as deletion. LADodgersAngelsfan 06:50, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Soxrock

Well, Soxrock did a lot of great work on the 2007 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament page but he made a mistake and added teams to the losers section of the brackets before any games had even been played. I think it was an honest mistake because when I notified him about it he cleaned it all up and fixed everything. No harm, no foul. Seancp 19:27, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey, how do you put a hidden message up. I don't believe we are allowing updates during Stanley Cup final games. I try the <--, but it doesn't work. Soxrock 00:21, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pokemon Crater

From now on just leave a message to me in Pokemon Crater instead of Wikipedia if it has to do with Pokemon Crater. LADodgersAngelsfan 02:14, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] White Sox

Actually, I have, twice, see http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/delete&page=History_of_the_Chicago_White_Sox

Hey, do you like the idea or not? Trying to build a consensus Soxrock 21:40, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Ok, but if that is the case, and I did see your philosophy, what about the Rockies? Marlins? D'Backs? Just thought I'd throw that out there. Soxrock 21:48, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Soxrock is claiming you are part of his consensus [1]. If you aren't, you might want to clarify. IrishGuy talk 22:08, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 2007 Dodger season stats

I've been very prompt in updating the Dodger stats, but I am in Washington D.C watching the Dodgers and Nationals, and visting the capital because I want to become a politican so I don't plan to log in a lot over the next few days. The stats may not be updated until Friday, please do not delete them because they are not out of date. I will ask LADodgersFan to update the standings. Hornberry 01:52, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

I can edit the stats. Don't worry about it. I know you need to spend a lot of time on the five baseball pages you edit and on Pokemon Crater. LADodgersAngelsfan 00:34, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reverting Vandalism

You remember I said I was a recent changes patroller? Guess what. I reverted the first time for a long time and the page was Zigzagoon, the Pokemon. Isn't it wonderful? Hope you respond to me soon. If you have anything to ask me about Pokemon Crater, just ask me. I can't wait for you to send me another message in Pokemon Crater. LADodgersAngelsfan 01:25, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

I forgot to tell you that I edited your user talk page the most (20 edits), Hdt83 (18 edits), and Hornberry at third (9 edits). Hdt83 was the one who helped me on a lot of things. I could of just made 10 edits, but I kept on forgeting to add my signature. Anyways, I wan't to tell you that the three friends I have in Wikipedia are you, Hornberry, and Han Amos. Han Amos also helped me do things in Wikipedia. LADodgersAngelsfan 01:29, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] CST

You probably took the CST, but when you get to twelth grade it's a different type of test. It isn't called the CST. That's what I saw on the schedule of testing I have. So do you have the same age as Hornberry.

I'm not sure if I have time. LADodgersAngelsfan 02:23, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

You did not bore me with nonsense. :) LADodgersAngelsfan 03:27, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Editing My Userpage

I know you're trying to help me improve things in my userpage, but can you just tell me about it and let me do it myself. Some people might get mistaken easily causing them to give you a warning. LADodgersAngelsfan 08:07, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] World Series

It is not at all clear from the crystal balling guideline that listing the schedule for the World Series constitutes "crystal balling". Baseball Bugs 14:32, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

I have put this question to another editor to get another opinion, as the guideline is not sufficiently clear as I read it. Baseball Bugs 14:49, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
The other editor's opinion was that my approach was correct... if verifiable. Now get this: I can't find (so far) that MLB.com has posted its schedule for the 2007 World Series. So at this point, I'm inclined to say that you're right, only for the wrong reason. :) Thus, I will concur with leaving it out of the article. Baseball Bugs 15:48, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
My mistake was in assuming the editor who posted that knew what he was talking about. My guess at this point would be that he was extrapolating based on last year's schedule. Once it gets to be post-season time, then it could be fair to post it as a scheduled event. There is a tendency for some editors to get carried away. An obvious example is when they list ballpark closing dates as if they had already happened. I've reverted a few of those myself, on the same crystal ball rule. :) Baseball Bugs 18:20, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
It was originally posted at 14:14, 23 May 2007 and was originally worded a little differently. It had to do with the statement that the Series occurs in October. Someone waggishly entered that it occurs in November. Then the editor at that stated timestamp pointed out that it's normally October but that it could lap into November this year. Later, someone else (maybe be, I don't recall) pointed out that the 2001 Series occurred in November. All this, apparently, springing from the statement that the Series is normally an October event. I think the point was to point out an existing exception, and where there could be an exception in the future. Maybe it's hair-splitting. It's still basically an October event. And we don't have verification of this fall's schedule in any case. Baseball Bugs 18:37, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] It's a start

Even though it's really not much, it's just a start. I hope to have it looking better soon. Obviously, I am not going to copy your entire userpage, but can I copy how you have the userboxes? Hornberry 02:16, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Arena Football League edits

Thank you for making edits to some Arena Football pages. There is an active Wikiproject underway at Wikipedia:WikiProject Arena Football League that is controlling the content, look and feel of the pages that come under this project. If you wish to make changes to some pages that would create an inconsistent look with others that fall under the project, please join in the discussions. Nolesrule 23:39, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Why?

Why have you reverted every single one of my edits? I spent a lot of time today to do all that. If it's a part of the project, then please show me where it has been said that my edits are "bad." --Ksy92003 (talk) 00:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

I reverted some of your edits because you are making edits to single pages within the context of the AFL WikiProject that are not consistent with other pages of an identical function. If you wish to make style change decisions, they need to be made across the entire project and should be discussed first as you have made changes to the work provided by a dozen editors putting in many hours. In addition, you provided no edit summary or rationale for the edits. Nolesrule 01:12, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
As for the revert on 2007 Arena Football League season, you removed the digits to the left of the decimal places in winning percentages, which turned "1.000" into ".000", turning perfect winning percentages into perfect losing percentages. Nolesrule 01:17, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

THat's a fair enough comment you gave me regarding LA and WBS team page reuslts. I would add that the project is creating individual season pages for each team that will be linked on those season-by-season results that will contain the information you were looking for. You'll find an example of one of theose pages at 2007 Tampa Bay Storm season. Nolesrule 17:24, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

It would probably be best to continue the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Arena Football League#Season_by_season_playoff_results so the whole group can weigh in. I understand your concern about what happens in other rounds of the playoffs, but that is definitely what the season pages are for, since it has a full season record including each round of the playoffs. Nolesrule 18:57, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] NHL Articles

Actually, I beg to differ. The season may not have begun, but off-season notes, notably the draft tonight, are on the 2007-08 season pages. I think they should be up there in my mind. 19:51 20 June 2007

Hold on there. I have only updated % of columnists AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED. Only their appearences change before the end of the show. Please don't confuse the two 22:19, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

But look, it was down to 4 edits today. I'm lowering it greatly, and if someone eliminated can win, then I guess I can stop. But changing appearences doesn't immediately change the % 22:56, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
