[edit] DYK article
Keep up the good work. Gimmetrow 12:59, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject
Sure, I would be willing to help. It's a lot of work getting everything set up but it pays off. If you'd like, I can go ahead and create a sort-of basic layout for some parts. jj137 ♠ 20:10, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- If you look on the main page of WP:BOSOX you will see more than enough things you need. This will show you what the original layout of the main page looked like. (A lot of the design we still have.) The most important things, probably, are the templates and categories because they are used the most. Actually, that old revision will show you pretty much all of the most important things to get it started. The really only optional things there are the hierarchical summary of categories (still unused today), similar WikiProjects (if you can find any), and the newly created articles section (helpful, but not top-priority). Eventually some of that content was moved to subpages and other places, and other content took its place. What I'm trying to say out of all of this is that there are no explicit guidelines when you first start; just take your time getting everything organized: at first you can put just about everything you need on the main page, and organize it later. I'll also say you can use or tear apart any of the content we have to recreate it for your project. Hopefully all of this helps, and I can start making a layout of everything, if you would like to use it. jj137 ♠ 20:21, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- See User:Jj137/WPLAA. There's a ton of red links, but once it is all filled in and created, it will look good. I based it loosely off WP:BOSOX; feel free to change or add anything, or not use it at all. Hope that helps. jj137 ♠ 21:04, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, and it's no problem. Good luck on your midterms. jj137 ♠ 20:29, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

I am drafting an FAQ here and would appreciate any input or constructive edits you could give on/to it. -Jéské (Blah v^_^v) 07:59, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

yeah I've just been wondering, but I kept forgetting to ask you, thanks--Yankees10 (talk) 02:45, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Infobox color
Both Ted Petoskey and Whitey Wistert have lost their team colors on their baseball infoboxes. Do you know what is going on?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 17:00, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I wasn't sure if Ksy was privy to the relevant discussion so I replied. —Wknight94 (talk) 17:36, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I had no idea about the discussion that Wknight94 is referring to until like a month after it happened. Thanks for taking care of explaining it because, even though I knew what had happened, I didn't know where the discussion was (even though I previously asked at another time) and didn't know how to explain it. As for why I didn't, I was at school so couldn't respond until.. well, now. Ksy92003(talk) 22:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hmmm? The discussion I pointed TonyTheTiger to began only five days ago. Also, you don't need to explain where you've been. People disappear here all the time - I plan on doing it my own self someday. —Wknight94 (talk) 23:02, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Then there's a new discussion that I, again, didn't know about.. not that I care either way; I don't. When I took my on-and-off, kinda-indefinite leave back in November, I came back and found out from Yankees10 and Chrisjnelson that there was a discussion that took place in early-December about the infobox colors. Ksy92003(talk) 23:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I see. That's not the discussion that resulted in me killing all colors in the retired baseball player infoboxes. The one from five days ago is. FYI. —Wknight94 (talk) 23:14, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- In fact, we've had so many of this discussions (since the issue at Talk:Reggie Jackson back in April) that I'm not even sure what my standpoint is anymore. This stuff happens without me even knowing about it, I guess contributed by my inactivity with the project at those times. I guess that's best because I don't know what my own opinion is. [edit] Re: Kyle Abbott
The original article was a redirect to a different spelling. Instead of that, I planned to make it an article on the baseball pitcher. I'll go make a stub of that now so I don't forget. Wizardman 01:48, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
