My <math> problem mysteriously solved itself. Perhaps the rendering of the formula into the .png file takes some time. FWIW, here's what didn't work and now does work:

[edit] Question about acronym
I had aquetsion for from your recent edit on the HTML page. I know its a cutlural difference, but I wondered about you changing the word acronym to abbreviation. What does an acroym mean if I look it up in your culture? Your notation begged the question. --Cplot 01:56, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
