The station was owned by Clear Channel Communications (As CC Licenses) and featured programing provided from Westwood One and Premiere Radio Networks.
The station was sold by Clear Channel to EDB SLO License LLC and on 2007-11-30 the callsign was changed to KSMX where it retained a similar News Talk format. [1]
