[edit] Nambiar Article

Well firstly, the previous discussion must have been no consensus but u might notice tht now there is plenty of discussion taking place there. Anyways, firstly Nambiars are mentioned in four classes and one of them are the Nair Nambiars of Malabar. There is no evidence and neither is there any statement in any historical book tht nambiars are 'arya' or 'kshatriyas'. Yes it is true tht they are generally royally descended, higher than other nairs etc. also they did have aitham with common nairs. but the doesnt make anyone a kshatriya...besides ceremonies like upanayanam etc are totaly unheard of for nambiars. I dont see why we try keeping to gain kshatriya status...though not technically, all nairs are Kshatriyas...castes like Nambiars, Unnithans, Thampis etc did maintain themselves above other nairs but still they were all considered nairs...well thts the reason actually...the article seems like a lot of fanciful and wishful stuff like those dynasties and ceremonies n kshatriyahood etc...Manu

[edit] My disambiguation at Nambiar

Hi. I have adopted several disambiguation pages, including English, and am responsible for keeping them clear of incoming links. (This is because links that go to disambiguation pages are not useful for readers and should therefore be avoided as far as possible.) I have now disambiguated the link to English on the Nambiar page three times; you removed the disambiguation the first time and restored the link directly to English. Please do not do this again, as it makes the encyclopedia less useful for readers. Thanks. --Tkynerd 00:33, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi again. I see that you corrected the disambiguation at Nambiar (I haven't looked at the history, but I assume someone else screwed it up). Just wanted to say thanks. :-) Best regards, --Tkynerd 13:11, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
And someone else (an IP again) has FUBAR'd it again. *rolls eyes* This time, though, rather than deleting the dab, it's now [[English|England]], which is backwards. Are they too stupid to even check their edits before saving them, or even after saving them? The rendered text now reads, "An England family title that is independent of...", which of course isn't even grammatical. *sigh* --Tkynerd 01:45, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
And, thanks once again. :-) I didn't mean to imply that you were obligated to fix it again, but I'm very happy you did. --Tkynerd 01:46, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for agreeing to take care of that dab at Nambiar. You know, I really can't understand why someone who's in an edit war would even bother with that, since deleting or messing up the dab doesn't promote any particular view about the article, AFAICT. Oh well. :-P --Tkynerd 01:58, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
