Kristian Booth (born May 30, 1979) is an American singer, songwriter, in the genre of Southern Gospel and country music. He is known as the youngest male soloist to ever chart two consecutive top 80 hits in Southern Gospel music history. [1] He was born William Kristian Booth in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He grew up in the nearby town of Picayune, Mississippi where he learned to sing gospel hymns at the age of seven. [2] He had the support of his grandmother who helped schedule concerts for him in local churches and by the age of 16 he had recorded his first gospel album. [3] He worked for a local radio station WRJW throughout his high school years before moving to Nashville to attend college at Belmont University. [4] He currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee where he continues to record and write music.
