Kristy Kreher Sullivan still holds records at Notre Dame in volleyball.
AS A SENIOR: 2001 all-BIG EAST first-team unanimous selection ... three-time BIG EAST Player of the Week ... starting opposite for the team ... ended her career ranked second on the all-time hitting percentage list with a .306 career mark (1,215 K, 391 E, 2694 att.) ... seventh all-time in career kills (1,215) ... fifth all-time in kill average (3.23 per game) ... led the team in kills 32 times in her career (ninth all-time) ... recorded 70 double-digit kill matches, which is tied for third all-time ... posted nine 20-plus kill matches in her career ... enjoyed five double-double matches (kills - digs) in 2001 ... had 14 kills and 11 digs vs. Syracuse ... led the team to victory at Toledo with 19 kills and 13 digs ... had a team season-high 23 kills (and 18 digs) against Illinois State on senior night ... played well against #7 Florida, scoring 15 kills with 12 digs.
AS A JUNIOR: All-BIG EAST first-team selection in 2000 ... finished second on the team in kills (440) ... scored double-digit kills in 21 of the team's 31 matches on the season ... in 24 matches over the course of the '00 season, she posted a hitting percentage better than .320, including a .591 mark vs. Saint Louis ... had five 20-plus kill matches, four of them against ranked teams (23 vs. #15 BYU, 21 vs. #16 Michigan State, 32 vs. #22 Loyola Marymount, 22 at Pittsburgh and 21 at Connecticut) ... scored 19 kills at Florida State to earn the Lady Seminole Classic Most Valuable Player Award.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Second-team all-BIG EAST selection in '99 ... played in all 29 matches, starting 28 of them ... recorded seven double-double matches and led the team in kills five times ... earned all-tournament honors during the Big Orange Bash at Clemson.
AS A FRESHMAN: BIG EAST all-rookie team selection in '98 ... played in 28 of 31 matches ... led the Irish to their first-round NCAA tournament victory over Eastern Washington with her first career triple double (24 kills, 14 assists and 14 digs) ... recorded six double-digit kill matches ... hit over .500 in six matches.
PREP & PERSONAL: One of 20 players chosen for the 1999 USA Volleyball Junior National team ... the first-ever Notre Dame player to appear on the junior national team, which began in 1998 ... three time all-state honoree at Marian High School ... finished as Marian's career leader in kills after recorded 627 as a senior ... led Kalamazoo-based USA Michigan club team to second place in state and first place at the East Coast Championship (held at Penn State) ... member of the National Honor Society at Marian ... father, Pete, played baseball at the University of Detroit .. born Oct. 27, 1980 ... daughter of Pete and Julie Kreher ... graduate with a finance degree from the Mendoza College of Business. Kristy went on to play for the Minnesota Chill until financial issues caused the league to dissolve. Kristy then went on to Ford Motor and is currently employed with Nissan North America. Kristy is married to Dave Sullivan of Ann Arbor, MI, where she also resides.
