[edit] Phil Rizzuto

In order for us to use the information you provided, we'll need a reliable, verifiable source. I've made note of this on the article's talk page, so please respond there. Rklawton 16:50, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

You obviousley didnt see the edit I made, I got rid of the reference in the infobox, because there is no need to have a reference in the infobox and the actual article, I am not the one who changed it to 1916, learn how to use wikipedia before you come at me with that vandalism bullshit when it wasnt vandalism --Yankees10 17:50, 17 August 2007 (UTC) Rizzuto was born in 1917 as confirmed by hundredsof sources. Ebyabe is wrong - as usual. Rizzuto debut date was 4/14/1941; final date was 8/16/1956; birthdate 8/25/1917 (100% certainty) and death date is 8/13/2007. I have vaguely heard of Ron Liebman (the award-winning researcher) butmy work is independent of his and I resent being called a "sockpuppet." Administrators should tag the article and lock in tahe birthdate as September 25, 1917 - which appears on all of Rizzuto's official documents. For months, Wikipedia (including Ebyabe) claimed that John Pop Lloyd died in 1965 when newspapers and social security records all showed his death a full year earlier in 1964. Again, I am not a sockpuppet of Ron Liebman - I don't even know him. What's going on here? Also, Wikipedia continues to show Whitey Ford's birthyear as 1928 when it is definitely 1926, suggesting ignorance or an agenda. --KrazyChicken 15:28, 18 August 2007 (UTC). You talk about published sources. What about bb.ref.com, retrosheet, bb.lirbrary, bb.almanac, Neft Baseball Encyclopedia 2007 (Sports Encyc:BB), ESPN BB Encyclopedia 2007, Total Baseball (last ed. 2004)' McMillan Encyc (last ed.1997), SABR Biographical Committee data, Buillpen Website; BBWIKIA website, all Yankee Encyclopedias, Is that enough? ((Please unblock))--KrazyChicken 17:29, 18 August 2007 (UTC) Also try the website "www'ask.com" and ask "What year was Phil Rizzuto born. You will see a long string of 1917's. --KrazyChicken 17:50, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

I see. So you don't have any links then? Just website names? And do any of these support your theory that Rizzuto lied about being born in 1918? No, no, and no. Sure, there's a long string of 1917's - but nothing, absolutely nothing, that makes the claims you are making. And yet we have a source that explains why 1917 is wrong. In time, maybe we'll see a source that explains why this source is wrong. We've asked you to provide one, but you haven't done so. In short, we need a source that says the New York Post screwed up. We've asked you for one, and your responses have been unproductive. Until someone does, we're stuck with a birth year that is in dispute. Rklawton 20:38, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] August 2007

You have been indefinitely blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for As a sockpuppet of User:Ron Liebman. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. - Philippe | Talk 15:29, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

((Unblock: mistaken identity; Rizzuto date of birth is well sourced and not subject to dispute. See talk pages for KrazyChicken, Rklawton, Yankees10, and Ebyabe. Please unblock. Not vandal or "sockpuppet of Ron Liebman" - whatever that is)) --KrazyChicken 15:36, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Can you provide a reliable source, as you've been previously asked to do, to demonstrate that? We can't change it just based upon your word - give us a reliable documented source and we'll consider it. In the meantime, your editing appears to be identical to that of a known sockpuppet. That's why you've been blocked as a sockpuppet. - Philippe | Talk 15:39, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Asking me for a source when there are hundreds of them is an insult. Check all of the URL's in the article. If my edits resemble anyone elses's, it is a coincidence.((Unblock))--KrazyChicken 15:48, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

I have reviewed the links and none of them even mention your theory[1]. Rklawton 15:52, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
OK, this is the last time I'm going to respond to this: provide a reliable source that demonstrates this, and we'll look at it. Without one, we're done here. - Philippe | Talk 16:00, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Item I placed on Ebayabe talk page which (like a coward) he removed: To Ebyabe: Phil Rizzuto was definitely born in 1917 even if you are uncomfortable with it for some reason. His famility and official documents confirm it and further sourcing is not necessary. The NNDB picked this up and assumed the year was never corrected. Also certain and well-sourced are his career dates (4/14/1941-8/16/1956). His daughter said that he died 8/13/2007. Do you have an agenda? And what does Ron Liebman have to do with this or me? (Wikipedia also insists on carrying Whitey Ford's year of birth as 1928 when it is definitely 1926. Facts are facts - no matter who praesent them. You must have a lot of time on your hands, Ebyabe. Get a life. --KrazyChicken 16:29, 18 August 2007 (UTC). Ebyabe (and you) seem out of sinc with the situation. --KrazyChicken 16:29, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

OK, final comment on this: Wikipedia requires published reliable sources. His daughter's confirmation isn't published, so it's not a source. Find me a published source and I'll correct it. I notice you still haven't given us a published reliable source, so that pretty much tells me what I need to know. - Philippe | Talk 16:40, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Here's a published source Rizzuto’s Secret of Youth Lasted for Years. However, it confirms what we suspected all along about KrazyChicken's credibility. Rklawton 16:23, 19 August 2007 (UTC) I see that Wikipedia checked in with the MNYC Depatment of Health and determined that Rizzuto's date of birth was in fact 1917. NYC keeps careful birth records which are stamped in when the person is born (not years later as Wknight94 seems to think). My information is correct and I am nobody's sockpuppet.
