[edit] Different English usage

- Few of our articles are perfect and there is a high degree of juvenile vandalism on this article. Some editors may see copy editing as "beneath them", many simply do not notice these relatively trivial details. Not everyone is as perspicacious as yourself. Alice.S 11:22, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pause for reflection?
It may be that you have edited Wikipedia before (under another user name or perhaps without ever registering an account) but may I ask you to read up about the policies I have linked to above before you continue to make large scale changes into American spelling and date formats and changing punctuation at our Sweden article? - The first thing to do is to perhaps raise the issue on the article's talk page if you wish to change the language version. I have to go out now, but will try and confirm that the stable version of the article was written in non-US English. Then there's the decision between Oxford and non-Oxford spelling of course. - Thanks for clarifying that. Please note that it is not for me to decide the "current" language version. The place for that is the article's discussion page. It is indeed my view that most of the active, good editors on the article are using non-US spelling but raise it on the article's discussion pages if you are in any doubt... you. I can see from your edits at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sweden&curid=5058739&diff=175694331&oldid=175693881 that you are very obviously an experienced Wikipedian but, when I first saw you changing all the date formats to American style and looked at your contribution record, I assumed you needed some help and advice.
