[edit] merge
Sounds like a reasonable merge to me. Go for it! //Big Adamsky 23:50, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
- I support this merge. Who wants to do it?Wisekwai 11:18, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
- I guess this is an ok merge
[edit] split
The Kra Canal should be a separate article, like the Nicaragua Canal is. It makes up the bulk of this article, which is a bit weird for an article on the Isthmus. Further it is an important concept in shipping. It also has a long historical basis. Xxxxxxxxxxx 02:01, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

- Support. This is a related article but should have its own page as it referes to a geo-political impact. Perhaps a new page and a link to the new page would suffice. Also maps are a must. --User:Yeokaiwei 17:10, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- Support. As it is, it's sort of the "cart before the horse", so to speak. --MCB 01:29, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- Support. Alternately, it could be moved to "Kra Canal". Mdotley 01:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- Support - create Kra Canal page, move appropriate content and add a timeline of proposals. NevilleDNZ 00:49, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Support. Maps are a must feature for an important proposed geographic feature like this canal. 202.164.54.44 08:11, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

- Support - split the canal-bit to new "Kra Canal"-article. The Isthmus should retain its own article, though, but it looks odd now, with most of the article about the canal. Geanixx 13:58, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- Support - The canal article has potential for further expansion as more information becomes available. Plus, as Geanixx mentioned, it looks odd now since most of the article is actually discussing the canal rather than the Isthmus itself. If there are no objections, I'll initiate the move in 24 hours. The time now is 1639GMT. --Pavithran (talk) 16:39, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
