The Kraus Campo, a garden and art installation at Carnegie Mellon University, located on the roof of the Posner Center, between the College of Fine Arts building and Posner Hall, home of the Tepper School of Business. Designed by landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgh with installations by conceptual artist Mel Bochner, the $4 million, 32,000 square foot Campo is part of a recent, and often controversial, effort to bring more creative energy to the campus through progressive contemporary architecture and art installations. Seen in the background (left to right) are the more rudimentary University Center, Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall and Posner Hall.
