Kostas Krystallis

Kostas Kristallis (born 1868 - died 1894) was a Greek poet and prose writer.

He was born Kostas Kroustallis in 1868 in Syrrako in Pindos . His father was a merchant in Ioannina. He changed his name to Krystallis when he moved to Athens. He worked as a typographer, as a secretary in Evdomas magazine, and as a clerk for Greek National Rail. He died of tuberculosis in Arta on April 22, 1894, aged 26.

His first published work was when he was a high school student in Ioannina, Skiai tou Adou (Shadows of Hades), which resulted in his being wanted by Turkish police. He continued writing until his death.
