We need to know how this actually works, what it does etc etc. Currently this is just a statement of facts - it is used in iplayer etc without any detail. Secretlondon 08:46, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

How is UPLOADING content to other users a problem for DOWNLOAD limits? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Y Less (talk • contribs) 10:52, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Because conversation is 2 way. Secretlondon 23:02, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
In reality the download side of such a conversation is small in comparison to the upload. The issue is that several ISPs count data uploaded as part of the monthly allowance. paypwip (talk) 20:04, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] shutting down kservice

To shut down KService after the provider's program has been closed, the command net stop kservice can be entered into the "Run" dialogue accessed from the Windows Start menu. --rjcuk (talk) 23:17, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Off topic discussion ??

"This extra bandwidth used could make UK ISPs put up their prices or use technical measures such as blocking or traffic shaping to deal with iPlayer traffic. It is estimated that an hour of iPlayer downloads at peak time would cost them 67 pence at BT wholesale prices."

This seems entirely political and not really related to the topic (Kontiki's service uses P2P to deliver content) 90.201.162.242 (talk) 20:17, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
