Description

Kong Haakon VII ankommer Norge med Kronprins Olav på armen 1905. Bildet er tatt straks etter at kongen og hans følge har forlatt det danske kongeskipet Danneborg i no:Drøbaksundet og gått over i K/S Heimdal, et kommandofartøy som seinere ble norsk kongeskip, 25. november no:1905. Statsminister Christian Michelsen ønsker velkommen til landet. Heimdal førte så den nye kongefamilien og regjeringa videre inn til Kristiania der følget steig i land ved Akershus festning straks før klokka 13. Tross surt vær og sludd hadde en stor folkemengde møtt fram for å hylle den nye nasjonens folkevalgte regent.
