Koma Denge Azadi (Voice of Liberty) was one of the most popular Kurdish music bands in Turkey. The band was created in 1990 in Istanbul and over the next ten years it became one of the most important and most successful Kurdish bands.
Like other Kurdish bands of the 90's, Koma Dengê Azadî adopted a style which was completely new for the Kurdish music scene. They reinterpreted the traditional Kurdish Folk Music in a modern form with particular appeal to the young generation of Kurds and Turks.
