[edit] Partnership minyan

Hi! I removed content you added referring to a self published document by Elitzur Bar Asher. The problem with this content is that Wikipedia's reliable source policy generally prohibits including self-published material in the encyclopedia. Best, --Shirahadasha (talk) 22:09, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi! I notice that you have made several edits to this article adding material by Elitzur Bar- Asher. If you are or are closely affiliated with Mr. Bar-Asher, you should be aware that Wikipedia has a Conflict of interest policy which places limits on the activies of editors who have a direct interests in the subjects they include. In general, any conflict of interest should be disclosed and is subject to somewhat greater scrutiny; however, material which clearly meets other policy requirements is not prohibited simply because it comes from an interested party. As a general matter, Wikipedia only accepts material that has previously been published in a source that meets the reliable source policy, and the degree of coverage is dependent to some degree on the prominence and reliablility of the source. For example, if the "Halachic Minyan" manual is published by a reliable academic or religious publisher, it can be used as a source in articles. If in addition it receives reviews by notable figures in the relevant communities it can be given more prominent mention, subject to reasonable review by disinterested editors. If critical reception is discussed, it needs to be characterized fairly and neutrally including critical as well as supporting comments. See also our policy on Non-English sources. You might want to put content based on Hebrew sources on the Hebrew Wikipedia ([1]). As long as these basic groundrules are understood, there should be no problem. If you want to contribute to the Partnership minyan article or any other article, you are also welcome to add content published by others. Best, --Shirahadasha (talk) 22:09, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Now that a substantial news article on and a lengthy critical review of the Halachic Minyan work have been published in the Jerusalem Post, I've added a section to the Partnership minyan article covering it. Best, --Shirahadasha (talk) 01:39, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
