Koizora (恋空 lit. Sky of Love?) is a Japanese film and a drama series based on a "mobile phone novel" (ケータイ小説 keitai shosetsu?) written by a young woman named Mika (美嘉?).[1][2]

The cell phone short story Koizora: Setsunai Koi Monogatari (恋空~切ナイ恋物語?) was written by Mika, with 25 million readers by the end of the serialization. It was later published as a novel which sold approximately 2 million copies. The film adaptation was released in November 2007, with the gross revenue of 3.9 billion yen, with 3.14 million people attending the theater.[2] The DVD was released on April 25, 2008. In 2008, the short story will be adapted into drama series which will be aired from July until September. The audition is held to choose the new actor and actress for the two starring roles by mid-June.[2]
