Original description: "Aerial view of the Koettlitz Glacier near the ice shelf of McMurdo Sound. It is named for Dr. Reginald Koettlitz, physician and botanist of the British National Antarctic Expedition, 1901-04, led by Captain Robert F. Scott, Royal Navy."
