Why it's truly open? I see only members of Konnex can get the specification, or through the CENTELEC.
That's because it's not protected. If you want you cán look into it. You just need to pay to see it. I thought that still means it is open, just not free. R U Bn @ e-builds 17:50, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- Open doesn't mean the specification is free. The IEC and IEEE have thousands of open standards, but the specifications also cost a lot of money to get. Certification is even more expensive. The point of an open standard is to encourage interoperability between competing manufacturer's products. Rhombus 20:49, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
