Go to Summer Olympics 1960, that is where I found out the information and his name is listed as "Knuth" (which is why I kept trying to change it). Soxrock 20:57, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Hi. Knud is how it’s spelled in Denmark. Nobody is named Knuth in Denmark and I have never ever seen his name spelled Knuth in any Danish article or lexicon. He is born Knud Enemark Jensen as far as I know. It’s common in English to spell Danish Knud with Knuth, Cnut, Caunte or other variants, as it indeed sound just like that in flat provincial Danish.
- I went to Danmarks Statistik and found there is 22000 Danes with the name "Knud" while only 11 with "Knuth", in 2006. There is virtual nil chance that a Dane born in 1937 with the name of Knud should have it spelled Knuth. Twthmoses 21:41, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks, I wanted to make sure that when I kept persisting that it was Knuth that when you were changing it you knew what you were doing because I read it Knuth. Soxrock 22:20, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
