Knox Farm State Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Knox Farm State Park is located adjacent to the historic village of East Aurora, New York, USA. It is the former country estate of Buffalo's wealthy Knox Family, and spans 633 acres, containing a number of habitats, including grasslands, woodlands, ponds and wetlands. The Knox Farm, located within the park, is still home to a number of farm animals, including horses, sheep, goats, llamas and chickens.
Visitors can observe wildlife, hike, cross-country ski, and ride horseback through a number of nature trails; bicycles, however, are only permitted in certain areas. Nature walks and programs are offered through the National Audubon Society, and the Knox Farm Visitor Center contains exhibits of historical and natural interest.
