Klaus Uwe Benneter

Klaus Uwe Benneter (born March 1, 1947 in Karlsruhe) is a German politician and member of the SPD. He is married and has one son.

After his Abitur in 1966 in Karlsruhe he studied law in Berlin. 1971 Benneter passed his first law examination. His second law examination he passed in 1974. He works as a lawyer since 1975.

Benneter entered the SPD in 1965. He was vice Chairmen of the Jusos from 1974- 1977. In 1977 he became Chairman of the Jusos.

From 1999-2002 Benneter was member of the Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus. Since 2002 he is member of the Bundestag.
