Talk:Kissi language

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Funny, I didn't think anyone would ever add information to what I had written on the kissi language. Who are you? I'm unfortunately not very good in Kissi. I've just grown up in Kissidougou. It's great someone has corrected this article.

[edit] ƞ or ŋ ?

Small item, but maybe not. I don't speak Kissi at all, but know that in various other West African languages, the ŋ is used for "ng as in song," not the ƞ. They look somewhat similar, but have different codepoints and probably represent different sounds in IPA. In fact, the ŋ is quite common in orthographies of languages of the region.--A12n 22:52, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Actually you use ƞ in Kissi. See http://www.language-museum.com/k/kissi.php for a sample text... 3 June 2007
