Kirovo-Chepetsk

Kirovo-Chepetsk (Russian: Ки́рово-Чепе́цк) is a town in Kirov Oblast, Russian Federation, located at the confluence of the Cheptsa and the Vyatka rivers, some 20 km east of Kirov. The (2002 Census) lists its population at 90.303, up from 92,382 in the (1989 Census).
Founded in the middle of the 15th century as the village of Ust-Cheptsa (Усть-Чепца), it had official town status granted in 1955.
