The Kipengere Seedeater (Serinus melanochrous) is a species of finch in the Fringillidae family. It is found only in Tanzania. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montanes and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland. It is threatened by habitat loss.
