[edit] "eye" assistant and translation question
The Japanese reads 二代目 (nidaime). In this case, the literal meaning is second generation. However you word it is up to you.
Also, how are you doing the translation? Are you using a computer program? While those can give you a general meaning they won't always produce something readable or it will only give you one definition when there could be multiple ones depending on the situation. - I've been using a combination of dictionaries, various machine translations, conferring with students of the language, and intermittent advice from near-fluent or native speakers online. As the article progresses, its text seems to contain more implied ideas or references to things with which I am not yet familiar. I feel stuck. --Diluvial (talk) 04:33, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

- One thing we need to remember is that the Japanese wikipedia is very list oriented and not as detailed as the English version. A word for word translation is probably not going to produce a very satisfactory entry. We're better off creating a framework (basic details) that can be filled in as Unbeatable Banzuke is being aired on G4, especially for the different events. [edit] Sasuke-esque Page?
IMO, I feel that the page is better off with its own english page like SASUKE/Ninja Warrior. Just changing it up a little. Rollinman (talk) 18:55, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- I removed the "translation in progress" header. No one has continued the translation or spoken of any interest in doing so. Also, I no longer have the time to attempt this on my own which would, at least to me, be a very difficult project. I only hope the notice has not deterred too many potential editors. That was not my intention at all. At any rate, I've abandoned translating. A uniquely English page seems best at the rate the translation was going. --Diluvial (talk) 06:38, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Daruma 7
I was watching the first Unbeatable Banzuke competition on my Free On Demand channel, and during the Daruma 7 challenge, I noticed a few differences. One, the daruma itself looked different, two, there were only six blocks to knock out, and 3, the blocks weren't numbered. However, I wouldn't feel comfortable changing it as I've had little editing experience. 70.113.113.93 (talk) 23:54, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
