[edit] Modules

The Kingmaker expansion pack contains three short modules.

[edit] Kingmaker

This module is the expansion pack's namesake and shows a number of parallels to Neverwinter Nights 2. In the game, the PC starts out with 4 companions. Through a short conversation and an easy fight scene, the PC gets a quick look at each of the character's abilities before having to choose only 2 to continue on with. The next part of the game revolves around trying to get enough guilds to elect the PC as Lord of the Keep. If and when they succeed, the third stage of the game begins, where the PC goes to fight their ultimate enemy, the Masked Man.

[edit] Shadowguard

This module is named after the organization featuring prominently in the game. The PC starts out in a graduation ceremony of sorts where they get to pick one of three symbols to be their own. Each symbol has special actions that go with it. After the graduation, the instructor tells the PC that a man is looking for them. This leads the PC into a series of tasks that end up with the city falling into chaos.

[edit] Witch's Wake

Being the third module in this expansion pack, Witch's Wake is a cliffhanger whose sequel was never finished. After a cutscene where the PC watches his Prince die right after hearing his cryptic last words, the game continues as an amnesia-ridden soldier (the PC) struggles to get home with the help of a witch.
