King George Elementary School is one of three elementary schools in King George County, Virginia. It is operated by the King George County School Board which has coincident borders with the county.

It opened in Fall 1997 to replace the older elementary school building with the same name.

Its mascot is the eagle because of the abundance of bald eagles in the region.
[edit] Academics
It has approximately 120 students per grade level. The school is located at the intersection of Route 205 and Route 3 near the center of the county. The school is the Gifted program magnet school for the county. The school participates in the Accelerated Reader program which provides incentives for children to read and test on a wide variety of books. The school also participates in the PTA Reflections program which encourages children to work in literature and fine arts through a competition program. The school holds a non-competitive art show each Spring to encourage students work in the visual arts.
