8 teams compete for the King's Cup:

• Saudi Premier League champion and runner up
• Crown Prince Cup champion
• Saudi Federation Cup Champion
• Teams from 3rd to 6th in the Saudi Premier League

The 8 teams play knockout games of 2 legs where they are classefied to 2 levels.

Level 1 :

• Saudi Premier League champion
• Saudi Premier League runner up
• Crown Prince Cup champion
• Saudi Federation Cup Champion

Level 2 :

• 3rd team in the Saudi Premier League
• 4th team in the Saudi Premier League
• 5th team in the Saudi Premier League
• 6th team in the Saudi Premier League
