King's and Cheshire Regiment

The King's and Cheshire Regiment was a regiment of the British Territorial Army, with HQ in Warrington, Cheshire.
The regiment was the territorial battalion of the regular King's Regiment and Cheshire Regiment. The companies of the battalion were located in Warrington, Liverpool, Manchester and Crewe (detachment in Northwich).

In July 2006 [1], the King's Regiment companies were amalgamated with the Lancastrian and Cumbrian Volunteers to form the 4th Battalion (Volunteers), Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (King's Lancashire and Border), and the Cheshire Regiment companies amalgamating with the West Midlands Regiment to form the 4th Battalion (Volunteers), Mercian Regiment.
