Kin Games

Kin Games is a yearly Canadian tradition. It is run by University students in Kinesiology or one of the related Health Sciences fields from the hosting University. In 2009 it is being held at the University of Lethbridge. It is the largest student run physical education conference in Canada. Previous Kin Games host locations include; 2008 - Dalhousie University, 2007 - University of Saskatchewan, 2006 - York University, 2005 - University of Alberta, 2004 - University of Windsor, 2003 - Université de Montréal, 2002 -, 2001 - University of Toronto. Students gather on usually the second or third weekend of March, with teams flying in on Thursday usually, to experience the town. Opening Ceremonies take place Friday with a parade of teams into the gymnasium and team introductions/performances occur. A social gathering (or possibly multiple depending on size) takes place at a classy, local, establishment where drinks are served and intelligent discussion occurs.
