Where did Kin Keezy get his name?

Of course there would seem to be a simple answer. A comedic hop hop adaptation of an infamous and influential public figure, not unlike other rap artists hijacking the name of their favorite gangster such as Capone, Noriega, or Scarface. You've seen it before. Rappers recycling culture.

What makes Keezy any different?

Nothing. The name was re manufactured in the same way and with the usual "urbanized" misspelling. It's funny though . . . Keezy, like Jeezy, but psychedelic, and rad.

On a deeper level, an emcee's pseudonym usually reflects what he is about. On an even DEEPER COSMICALLY SYNCHRONISTIC level, this emcee happens to have serendipitously moved from Atlanta to Portland, and purchased a big yellow SCHOOL BUS that is consequently powered by petroleum-free Vegetable Oil, take that Pranksters!

The truth is, the name just happened. It was gifted to Keezy by some unknown force in the universe, as was the bus, and as will be WORLD WIDE FAME AND POWER.

Because of the diverse topics of his songs, (including shamanic misadventures with amazonian Yage', the radical and ethical animal rights saga, and songs about the joys and benefits of riding a bike) coupled with his interesting and intricate writing ability, and his flawless delivery and production Keezy is guaranteed success!

If it's true what they say about the name saying it all, Keezy is an exception. How can you contain years of gun-toting psychedelic mayhem, freight hopping trains of thought through a southern baptist upbringing, and landing on solid earth in a place of love and humility, surrounded by friends and family under the light of 5000 suns in an emcee name?

Kin Keezy is a cosmic giggle, a rapturous heart attack and nothing else. Kin is a beautiful mayan day: as in Kinfolk: as in--ALL ONE. Keezy is an attempt at being less serious, a light hearted persona of a writer and emcee balancing life, love and destiny on a triple beam.
