[edit] Why did the Kimmer leave WGST?

Yeah "Planet Radio" was a business decision too and look how well that worked out for them. They will never recover their former glory when they had Sean, Rush, Kim lineup. Tom's sixty at six was the best news source in Atlanta. I only wish WSB would drop Clark and pick up Rush so it would be on a stronger signal.

Itpdude (talk) 14:25, 4 January 2008 (UTC) The Kimmer Show was something I looked forward to every day. WGST did everything they could to sabotage Kimmer by moving his time slot around all the time. I first started listening to him around 92 when he was in the 3-7? time slot and remember how he got bumped to the 7 pm to 11? time slot then jumped back down to 3 to 7 and then to 8 am to 12 and then back to 3 to 7. It was on that last 3 to 7 stint WGST canned the newsmaker line guy (Jim Fossett) girlfriend, causing him to quit, they got rid of Snake Davis (his 'holy crap, it's sports was better than any Olberman diatribe), got rid of Wayne (whom I didn't care much for but Kimmer seemed to like him), brought in some annoying woman to sidekick, etc, etc.

In the end, I do think WGST made what they believe to be a wise business decision but as the above comments, Planet Radio was a business decision too and how long did that last? It is now 2008 and I still miss the Kimmer show. There is no host that covers local and national news with such an eye towards irreverence and with good humor. And the occasional blow up. . . mixed in with random quotes from Caddyshack. . . which was nice.

[edit] Mark "The Lemmer" Lemke not attributable

Mark was called "Lemmer" by Skip Carey and other announcers when he was still playing 2nd base for the Braves. This was long before his stint as a sports commentator and association with Kim Peterson. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.131.46.86 (talk) 21:23, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
