Kimmo Nikkanen was the original host and resident game-critic of the now-defunct Finnish cable-channel MoonTV. During the early airings of the show Nikkanen, assisted by Jarno Sarkula and Thomas Puha, was the primary host and critic for the line-up of game-related programs. The original line-up featured:
- Peliuutiset, game-news which was later picked up by host Miika Huttunen
- PC-Peliluola, which reviewed the latest PC-games, later hosted by Jarno Sarkula.
- PSX-Peliluola, which reviewed the latest Playstation 1 releases, later hosted by Thomas Puha.
- PPPS-Peliluola, which was more general gaming-magazine program which would also feature interviews with game developers. Parts of the program were in English only and were hosted by Thomas Puha.
Of the original line-up programs Nikkanen wasn't involved in the making of the Top-10 chart-show which was hosted by Jarno Sarkula, then under the alias Godzilla. Nikkanen's final appearance on the channel was on PPPS-Peliluola where he also showed his face for the first time. Though Nikkanen was fairly popular during his early tenure on MoonTV his obvious lack of English-speaking skills was a constant subject for criticism by viewers.
