Kimia Ravangar (born November 6,1992) is a well known Iranian dancer and choreographer. She is known as one of the best young dancers in the world. She is one of the first dancers who brought contemporary dance to Iran. She started training with an Iranian-Armenian Ballet teacher named madam Karine` while she practiced contemporary dance, Hip-Hop and even Break Dance with her friends in her friends’ houses. She has choreographed “The Robot and the Butterfly” in which she has combined harsh strict movement of a Robot with energetic clever movements of a Butterfly using the Beautiful story written by Russian author Vitatoe Gilinskay.
