He plays the upright bass that he personally custom made (as the coffin bass).
He is also the lead guitarist and performs backing vocals for the rock'n'roll group, the HorrorPops.
[edit] History
Nekromantix count as one of the wilder bands working in psychobilly. Kim Nekroman (bass, vocals) quit an eight-year career as a submarine operator in the Royal Danish Navy to found the band in 1989, and Peek (Drums) and Peter Sandorff (guitar, vocals) joined up soon after. After performing live on two occasions, the band immediately gained an enthusiastic following, not only in Denmark but also in Germany, where they made their first festival showing. Kim is also a tattoo artist. Many of his, his wife's, and band mates' tattoos were done by Kim.
[edit] Timeline
In 1991 the band toured extensively in Europe, releasing Curse of the Coffin, their second full-length album that same year. The Brought Back to Life LP appeared in 1992, and 4 years later Nekromantix offered their fourth disc, Demons Are a Girl's Best Friend. A tour in Japan followed, as well as a 1999 live set for Kick Music. Nekromantix signed with Epitaph for 2002's Return of the Loving Dead, and are still with the label through Dead Girls Don't Cry and 2005's Brought Back to Life Again, the latter of which was actually reissue of an out print 1992 release. Latest release on Hellcat is "Life is a Grave & I Dig it!".
[edit] Nekromantix
Backing up Nekroman's vocals in '05 were guitarist Troy Destroy and drummer Wasted James. However, the current line up is Andy DeMize on drums, Pete Belair on guitar, and, of course, Nekroman on coffin-bass and lead vocals.
