Capt. Kimberly Hampton, first female US pilot shot down and killed in combat. Pictured in her OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter.

From http://www4.army.mil/armyimages/armyimage.php?photo=1760 The image is dated March 17, 2004, but that seems unlikely since Hampton was killed January 2, 2004.
