Is it named after Wilhelm Killing? Should mention him in the article. wshun 19:11 24 Jul 2003 (UTC) Killing Fields Involved With The Holocaust:

[edit] This may be bunk.

I think we need some citations on this term being used in modern warfare. Machine gunners do not use the term "killing field" rather they use beaten zone for where the rounds impact. So in light of this, I'm redirecting the redirect to the disambig page. 24.45.14.255 01:42, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reason to not use killing field term..

The term 'beaten zone'[1] and 'danger space'[2] are more appropriate in modern warfare. Also, there needs to be some citations for the use of the term, both in modern warfare and ancient warfare. Rhetth 01:50, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
