Kieran Powell

Kieran Omar Akeem Powell (born 6 March 1990 in Nevis) is a left-hand opening batsman. He has represented the Leewards Islands at the Under-15 and U-19 level and has represented West Indies' U-19. He spent 2 years in England studying at Millfield school, where he was offered to play cricket but declined for different reasons.

Powell took part in the Stanford 20/20 tournament in 2006 making his debut when he was just 15. This gave him a chance to show his skills and potential to the rest of the Caribbean, he made a brilliant start hitting his first ball for a huge six helping to put on a match winning partnership with ST Woodley a stand of 67 for the second wicket. Although Powell has only played 3 20/20 matches his strike rate is 174. In his first match he played 26 from 16 helping Nevis beat St Kitts in Nevis's opening 20/20 match.

In 2008 Powell was offered to star in the U19 Cricket World Cup he took great pleasure in competing in this competition.
