[edit] Do It Yourself article?

I feel this reads like a "do it yourself" article rather than an encyclopedia article. I also wonder how necessary it is to include the full text of all the different forms of kiddush. How is this going to be of benefit to net surfers, especially non-Jews? Yoninah 15:54, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Nothing on this? I know it's a rich subject, filled with controversy. It is also an example of when Jews do something that they normally wouldn't, just to not be like "pagans": face one way, then turn another "because we don't pray to the moon," and many people make a conscious decision not to do it at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.203.175.175 (talk • contribs)

That's not relevant to this article. Kiddush Levanah (more technically Birkat HaLevana) has nothing to do with the Kiddush that delineates the sanctification of holy days. It should probably have it's own article, though. Also, since when is it filled with controversy? It's pretty established in normative Orthodox practice, and I've never heard of anyone going out of their way to avoid saying it. --DLand^TALK 21:21, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

It would be nice to have the Hebrew directly and as phonetic available, if someone would please be kind enough to add them.
