Founded in 1990 by Eugene P. Shonfeld, Ph.D., the Kidney Cancer Assoc. (KCA) is a nonprofit organization focused on uniting patients, family members, researchers, and physicians in an effort to eradicate kidney cancer. It works on research projects with other groups such as the National Cancer Institute (NCI), American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American Urological Association (AUA), among other institutions.[1]

According to the Better Business Bureau[3], the Kidney Cancer Assoc. "meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability."[4]
