[edit] Another source

Resolved.
  • Oregon State Treasurer Randall Edwards opinion piece, published in early 2008 in the Statesman-Journal and elsewhere:

Edwards, Randall. "Time is up for personal kicker", Statesman-Journal, January 26, 2008.

I'll see if I can pound something up with it. Zab (talk) 04:26, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Areas for improvement

  • A reference to the original bill that was signed in 1980 would be neat, including a reliable source for the number of votes. I found one link to a blog site (which I will not perpetuate here) but something a bit more solid is needed.
  • I think I am misusing the percentages in the history section.
  • The history section is full of bad transitions, needs a lead-in and a close
  • Picture ideas: voters celebrating the constitution addition in 2000, a picture of the people who drafted the original law, something else. I can try and come up with a graphic of some kind, but I don't have any inspiration today..

  • corporate kicker should have its own section, as many politicians (Pete Sorenson [1], Rob Brading, many others) have called for the elimination of the corporate version of the rebate, separating it from the personal kicker. -Pete (talk) 20:24, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
  • I'm pretty sure Oregon is unusual in having biennial budget forecasts. This would be good to discuss if we can find a good source. -Pete (talk) 01:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
