The station, which signed on the air in 1978 as KLBS-FM. In 1982 the station changed callsigns to KSNN. In April 1992, the station switched to the current Rhythmic format and branded itself as "HOT 105." In 2004, the station rebranded itself 'Hot 1047 - Number One For Hip Hop.
