Khaled Al-Maeena
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Khaled Al-Maeena is the government-appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Saudi-owned Arab News and very occasionally contributes a column for Asharq Al-Awsat, Al Madina, Urdu News and Gulf News. He is known to be close to King Abdullah, and this patronage has helped him stay in his job despite rumblings about his poor performance since Prince Faisal bin Salman took over as chairman of the company that publishes the newspaper. The Arab News clams to be one of the most widely read English-language newspapers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, although its circulation has not been officially verified.
