KFOG KaBoom
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
KFOG KaBoom is an annual outdoor concert held by KFOG in San Francisco during May. It is followed by a nighttime fireworks show synchronized to a soundtrack. The extravagant fireworks display draws over 350,000 people. The lineup for the 2007 edition included Ozomatli, Guster, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. In 2007, KaBoom began charging admission due to rising costs.
Through 1998, the event was known as the Sky Concert, but was renamed in 1999. [1]. Reportedly this was due to copyright conflicts over the name.
