Keweenaw Fault
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Keweenaw Fault is a geological feature that bisects the Keweenaw Peninsula of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The fault is the boundary between the mid continent rift and adjacent Precambrian terrain. The peninsula, itself, is the eastern side of a large syncline beneath Lake Superior. The western side forms Isle Royale.[1]
