Kevin St.Jarre (born July 26, 1968 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts) is an American author and teacher. His novels in the Night Stalkers series written under the pen name Michael Hawke center around the U.S. Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. St.Jarre has also worked as a journalist, is a published poet, and writes on pedagogical subjects in journals and books.

While born in Massachusetts, St.Jarre was raised in Madawaska, Maine, a small town in the northeasternmost corner of the United States. After graduating from high school in 1986, St.Jarre enlisted in the U.S. Army.

He attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California and studied Czech. He attended intelligence school at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, Texas. St.Jarre was assigned to 1st Armored Division and more specifically to A Co., 501st MI Bn. He served in Ansbach, Germany in the late 1980s and led a combat intelligence team in Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait. St.Jarre later was assigned as a course developer and instructor at the U.S. Army's Intelligence School at Ft. Devens, Massachusetts.

He completed his B.S. in English at the University of Maine at Fort Kent in 1997, and also attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle for courses in education. He is currently a student in the Stonecoast MFA program at the University of Southern Maine.

St.Jarre worked as a reporter for the St. John Valley Times, a small weekly newspaper in Madawaska, ME. St.Jarre worked for software company Aprisma Management Technologies doing course development, consulting, and corporate training worldwide. He has since taught English and Social Studies at Noble High School (Maine) in North Berwick and Fort Kent Community High School in Fort Kent, Maine.

St.Jarre wrote the first three books of the Night Stalkers series for Berkley Books and his agent is Jake Elwell of Harold Ober Associates, Inc. He is currently working on a novel titled Burgess and a pedagogical book.

His poetry first appeared in Whole Notes edited by Nancy Peters Hastings and has since been published in a variety of small literary magazines.

He has written articles on education for English Journal and Phi Delta Kappan.
