From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kevin Scott (born 17 December 1966) is a former English professional footballer.
Scott, who is 6ft 4inches, was a defender who made most of his league appearances (227) for Newcastle United, between 1984 and 1994.
Aged 28, he signed for Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £850,000, however he found first-team appearances hard to come by and signed on loan for Port Vale, Charlton and Norwich City.
Norwich then signed him on a permanent deal for £250,000, but he was only to make a further 33 first-team appearances for Norwich, Wycombe and Darlington, playing his last game in 1999.
After retiring from the professional game, he played numerous games for non-league side Crook Town, and also helped Yarm over 35's to win the regional league.
He is now working as a coach at the famous Middlesbrough FC academy and has already coached Lee Cattermole, Adam Johnson and Stewart Downing to the professional game.
