Kevin Colbert

Kevin Colbert (born January 1957 in Pittsburgh) is the Director of Football Operations (GM) of the National Football League's Pittsburgh Steelers since the start of 2000. He is widely credited with putting together the World Championship Super Bowl XL team in Pittsburgh along with owner Dan Rooney and coach Bill Cowher. Colbert grew up not far from Heinz Field on the city's northside and attended North Catholic High School and Robert Morris University. Prior to being hired by the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was employed as an advance scout for the Detroit Lions and the Miami Dolphins. His older brother Bob Colbert is the head football coach for Saint Vincent College near Pittsburgh, where, coincidentally, the Steelers hold their annual training camp.
