[edit] Metawidget

Hello. I see that you have been adding stuff about "metawidgets" and also about software called Metawidget.

I also learn from metawidget.sourceforge.net/support.html that Commercial development support, production support, and training for Metawidget is available through Kennard Consulting.

Wikipedia:Conflict of interest suggests to me that if "Metawidget" merits a write-up, this is better done by some third party. -- Hoary (talk) 09:17, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

You are correct. I was trying to add a page to Wikipedia about an area I am involved in. I tried to be impartial in my wording, and add value to the page by covering all related projects I could find, not just my own. This is difficult because it's a rather unexplored area.

I am happy to make any changes you suggest? Kennardconsulting (talk) 21:42, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply to my irritating message.
I'd just leave it; somebody else will be free to add more information. Of course keep it on your watchlist and if anyone adds any misinformation (probably just out of poor writing or well-intentioned ignorance), please feel free to correct it. And I hope you enjoy editing elsewhere within WP.
Incidentally, it would be quite proper to explain your username on your user page, if you wish to do so. (You're also free not to explain it.) You can link to your company, too. However, even on your user page, try not to write anything that might be interpreted as an ad for your company: people get very prickly about this kind of thing. And I hope you enjoy editing elsewhere within WP: Chesterton Windmill needs you! -- Hoary (talk) 23:51, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
